In order to counter the recruitment problems currently affecting many volunteer positions, the campaign emphasizes the social importance of volunteering as a firefighter – and highlights for younger target groups why it is worth being a volunteer. Under the hashtag #DeinEinsatzfuerBerlin, the campaign is primarily aimed at digital natives on social networks. An image film, a campaign website, advertising material for social media such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube as well as postcards, posters and flyers were created for this purpose. Visionaere applied for the campaign at the end of 2018 in a call for tenders by the Berlin fire department and was successful with the concept. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign focuses on the most important motivations for joining the volunteer fire department: drive, team spirit, willingness to help and personal progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We were very impressed by the attitude and self-confidence of the volunteers. Because even though volunteering is often grueling and full of hardship, you immediately notice how much each individual grows personally from the challenges,” says Jan L\u00fctzen, Managing Director of the agency. “Values such as teamwork, reliability and drive make this community very strong – and also attractive to the young target groups.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Berlin Volunteer Fire Brigade<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In Berlin, around 1,500 people volunteer in 58 stations to help people in acute need. Whether in the event of accidents, fires, medical emergencies or natural disasters – the volunteers are always there where they are needed. The Berlin fire department and its members therefore rightly enjoy a high reputation among the population. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
