BVDA

The visual appearance of the BVDA needed an update. The social commitment of the publishers, their commitment to journalistic quality and increasing their attractiveness as an advertising medium needed to be emphasized. After joint workshops with the association’s decision-makers, Visionaere developed a comprehensive brand identity system that addresses publishing house, agency and marketing decision-makers as well as interested parties from journalism, politics and education.

Key Visual

A distinctive mark
for the brand

The key visual plays a key role in the brand identity. It creates a family resemblance and ensures that the diverse media activities of the association and its sub-brands are clearly recognized and assigned.

Logo family

Common features.
Independent profile.

In addition to the BVDA umbrella brand, the association uses a whole series of sub-brands that are closely aligned with the parent brand to varying degrees. Visionaere created a system that maintains a typographic family resemblance, but at the same time offers scope for individual accents. The abbreviation of the parent brand BVDA can precede the sub-brand or be added as an index character.

Literature concept

A clear system,
that allows for change.

The literature concept forms the common framework for all association publications. Whether political position papers, guidelines, press reviews, specialist group brochures or annual reports – each publication has a consistent and recognizable form. The titles can be used with graphic textures or photographic motifs depending on the subject matter.

Telling complex content in an entertaining way

Visionaere has developed a set of striking symbol graphics that allow complex facts to be presented in a simplified way. Infographics are combined with vivid illustrations to support the content in an entertaining way.

“The close collaboration with our decision-makers laid the foundation for the concept and design, which have since made our claim to innovation tangible in all of the association’s communication media.”
